All trips include all fishing equipment (rods, reels, tackle, nets) and a full trip brief before we hit the water. We'll assist with setting up your fishing license — a valid WIN Card is mandatory. Show up, cast off, and get wicked.

Not at all. Our guide is comfortable working with complete beginners through to experienced anglers. We'll match the approach to your skill level and make sure you're set up for success.

All trips are capped at 3 guests maximum. This keeps the experience personal and ensures everyone gets proper attention on the water.

Lake McGregor holds Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Whitefish, and Rainbow Trout. We'll discuss target species when you book — the guide will tailor the approach to what's active on your date.

Cancellations 14+ days before your trip receive a full refund. Inside 14 days, we offer a credit toward a future booking. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. Weather cancellations initiated by us receive a full refund or rebooking at your choice.

Dress for the weather — layers are always smart on the water. Bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, snacks, and water. All fishing gear is provided. Closed-toe shoes are required on the boat.

Our guided season runs May through October. Lake McGregor is located in southern Alberta near Milo — roughly 2 hours southeast of Calgary. Exact meeting point coordinates are confirmed when you book.

We operate catch and release as our default practice. If you'd like to keep a fish, we'll discuss what's legal and sustainable for the day's conditions.
